This railing guards against a fall of around 5ft to the ground below, whilst being building regulation compliant it still manages to have style and elegance. With bowed bars and hand forged scrolls at the top. Proof that being building regulation compliant doesn't mean any wrought iron railing has to be plain in design, it can be decorative. Wrought iron railings in Haywards Heath, West Sussex. These wall railings have twisted bars, with a twisted cage, evenly spaced and finals on the top. A juliet style balcony, built several years ago to a clients specifications, shown here just after cleaning and grinding, prior to painting. A little more classy than the normal style juliet balcony, which so often is very plain when balconies need not be. Careful thought in the design can ensure a elegant looking wrought iron balcony that can be building regulation compliant. All balconies should be made to 1100mm high, with a bar spacing of no more than 100mm apart.
A set of wrought iron stair rails, made to fit a refurbished wooden stair case in Epsom. The wood and the Steel compliment each other. The upright bars are twisted one full twist over the length, give a nice soft lazy twist. The handrail is made from a D shaped bar, to give a natural feel to the bannister.
